Takbo Para Sa Maningning (July 2011)

Last July 23, 2011, Barangay Sta. Ana celebrated the first ever Banak Festival, a fish festival in honor and devotion to the patroness St. Anne.  One of the highlights of this event is the Takbo Para Sa Maningning, a fun run for a cause.

Proceeds of this activity will be given to the Save Maningning Project which was launched December last year with the purpose of bringing back Maningning Creek into life.

Hundreds of runners including Chairperson Joselito Calderon joined the 3 kilometer run routing around Barangay Sta. Ana, which starts and ends at the Barangay Hall.  This showcased the people and government's initiative to save and rehabilitate the premiere water system of this barangay.

In the end, 3 men and 3 women outran the others and merged as the winners.
